Obama is running against Hillary by running against Bush. His campaign recently sent out the following mailer to Iowa voters:
While others went along, Obama opposed Bush’s war plans.
Barack Obama is the ONLY major candidate for president to oppose both the Iraq War from the very start and the Senate amendment that raises the risk of war with Iran.
While other Democrats voted for the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment, Barack Obama opposed another Bush foreign policy fiasco.
“Why is this amendment so dangerous? Because George Bush and Dick Cheney could use this language to justify keeping our troops in Iraq as long as they can point to a threat from Iran. And because they could use this language to justify an attack on Iran as a part of the ongoing war in Iraq.” -Barack Obama
Question -- is Bush running in '08? Because by listening to the Democrats, you'd swear he was. And by listening to the Republicans, you'd swear he'd never been elected.
Obama is no President Palmer (24). He looks and acts like a kid, a precocious preacher kid.
On the other hand, my candidate would terrify Putin, Kim Jong Il and the mullahs and perhaps remind them of the Japanese admiral who said: "I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled her with a terrible resolve."
I want a Commander in Chief whose very scowl and growl conveys: Don't Tread On Me.
Can there be a better guarantor of peace.
I think Obama is running for President in 2012.
