So you can teach an old hangdog new tricks:
WASHINGTON --Senator John F. Kerry plans to announce today that he is bowing out of the 2008 presidential race, and will instead remain in Congress and seek reelection to his Senate seat next year, according to senior Democratic officials.
Kerry "associates" blame his botched "joke" about those poor, dumb soldiers in Iraq. Me, I think Kerry's disqualifying gaffes go back a wee bit further than last autumn.
so long loser. too bad the media gave you a pass on your short short vietnam tour.
I.e. none of the other senators or anyone at the DNC would give Kerry the time of day.
I'm still amazed that they nominated him in the first place...
so, can we start saying that
Kerry 'cut and run' from the 2008 contest?
or
how do you ask a man in congress to be the last man to lose in 2008?
or
he was for running for president before he was against his running for president?
you, know he can choose to run or not, but it wont stop us from laughing every time we see his face.
I, for one, am extremely disappointed with this news. This means that I will actually have to pay attention to the campaigns to figure out who to vote against. It could have been sooo easy.
Sorry. Not Topic Related. Just wanted to say how nice it is to have you back on the blog (and on the mend) Stephen. The Blog-universe is much better off with you in it.
Regards.
I can't help thinking that, somewhere deep in the Fellini movie of an Ibsen script that passes for Kerry's brain, he sees the party coming to its senses and begging him to come back...
All's I know is I'm glad you're back. YOur child is adorable but I am glad you are writing again. :-)
