Could I give you a better Return of VodkaPundit than to liveblog tonight's State of the Union Address? Cocktail-enahnced, of course. The fun starts around 8:30pm Eastern. Comments
Few things I'd read on the flat screen would make me react like I was watching a game or jawing with friends, but this did. Fists clenched, arms raised: "YES!" Welcome back Stephen, and long live the Vodka! And the Pundit! Posted by: Kenny at January 23, 2007 09:16 AMExcellent - as I am tied up in an exercise out here at Ft. Leavenworth, I will check in later to see what I missed. Good to see you back! Posted by: Major John at January 23, 2007 10:50 AMHad seriously considered NOT watching the State of the Union for the first time in I don't remember how long. Now I must. Hurrah!!!!! Youve just been resting all this time, waiting for just the right moment to strike, sort of like your version of 'cato' in the blog world. welcome back steve. Posted by: frank martin at January 23, 2007 11:10 AMWoo hoo! Sigh. Is it too much to ask for a fiscally conservative, socially mind-your-own-damn-business, tough on terrorism president? Posted by: rbj at January 23, 2007 11:30 AMIs it too much to ask for a fiscally conservative, socially mind-your-own-damn-business, tough on terrorism president? No, but his name was David Palmer and he died at the beginning of Season Five. Posted by: Doug Mataconis at January 23, 2007 02:17 PMI had the same reaction as Kenny! Glad to hear that you're well enough to get back into the fray. You've been missed. Posted by: Joe at January 23, 2007 02:35 PMOh boy. Posted by: chaika at January 23, 2007 02:43 PMWe're all glad you're back! Can we assume by the cocktails that you're also feeling better? Posted by: Venomous Kate at January 23, 2007 03:02 PMVP, I can't understand current events when you are not blogging. And that's no coincidence. I hope you are well. Posted by: Jim at January 23, 2007 03:36 PMWoohoo...great to see you back in the fold. I really hope things are going well. Absolut martini...hold the vermouth...olive on the side...shaken, not stirred. Oh yeah...and be sure to take your medicine with that! Yay!! Posted by: B in Chino at January 23, 2007 04:31 PMDude! Posted by: Will Collier at January 23, 2007 05:35 PM"Cocktail-enahnced, of course." The real news is not Bush's State of the Union Speech -- but the return of VodkaPundit! Welcome back Stephen! This calls for a drink.... Posted by: Eric Scheie at January 23, 2007 05:48 PMCould I give you a better Return of VodkaPundit than to liveblog tonight's State of the Union Address? Nah, probably not. :-) I've been thinking of you, Stephen, and wondering how you were doing. Welcome back! Posted by: wolfwalker at January 23, 2007 06:15 PMI can't listen to this speech sober... I'm heading to the corner watering hole and following VP on my blackberry. Suli Stephen, I too was going to pass on the SOTU, I already know that economically it's more than pretty good and politically a mess. But now, I'll come here and take your take. I sure hope the docs get it together for you! Posted by: Kathianne at January 23, 2007 06:25 PMWelcome back, Stephen. I hope you are getting better and better, and this process will continue. Of course, if you are tired and need a little time off, then please put yourself and your family first. BTW when your webpage was on my screen, my daughter (15 months old) made a noise and pointed toward the monitor. Your son picture was on it. She liked it. Vilmos Finally ashamed of all the malingering, are you? Well, it's HIGH TIME you got your ass in gear, pal, and started AMUSING us again. I'm WAAAAAIT-ing.... RJB P.S. Seriously -- glad you're back. I'll lift a glass to you tonight. Posted by: Robert Bidinotto at January 24, 2007 12:47 AMYea, you're back! Posted by: Cheryl at January 24, 2007 06:54 PM |
