Robert Bidinotto isn't too happy with the cowards at Borders - and is sharing his thoughts.
In Canada, the magazine Western Standard published by Ezra Levant took the step of showing subscribers the 10 cartoons in mid-February. The gutless wonders in the mainstream media ducked & chastised. I will probably never read a word of the magazine but immediately took out a 1 year subscription.
I typically do not join boycotts, but in this case I will make an exception. If they do not retract this, I will do whatever I can to avoid purchasing from Borders.
doug
Rewarded behavior is repeated.
Shame on Borders for rewarding intimidation and terror.
I recently wrote about the cartoons on my blog (look at me! look at me!) and why I think publishing them is not only important as a principled stand on free speech but necessary for people to be minimally informed.

Yup.
Here's what it got them.

Worth reading.
Frankly, the author of that magazine is cashing in on the controversy. You guys are falling for it hook, line and sinker. I doubt the magazine has anything in it that you couldn't find by hitting 2 or 3 conservative blogs. With mediocre content, it's no surprise the author picked the cover that he did.
Putting that picture on the front isn't some courageous action, it's a cash grab meant to get the blog-reading conservative base riled up when big corporations shy away from it. But, go ahead and 'boycot Borders' if you makes you feel better..
Tell you what, tsohg, why don't you just go over to Robert's Blog and leave that particular comment?
