You might remember Jeff Schneider's story from last week:
I run a small gourmet coffee company that does decent business on the internet, thanks to the reach of Google Ad Words. However, I cannot live with Google's decision to succumb to the wishes of the brutal dictatorship in China. So, as of today, my company has suspended all business with Google. This will have a substantial negative impact on my bottom line, but in some cases principle means more than money. As a veteran of OIF, I know all too well how valuable freedom is and I cannot support a company that helps to suppress it.
So I ordered a pound of Jeff's espresso roast. Let me tell you: It makes a fine espresso and even better cup of regular old coffee. If you like, order some for yourself, and support a guy who's doing the right thing.
Wouldn’t you like some Danish with that coffee or perhaps some fine Dutch chocolate?
Have a nice brunch; make a statement.
After you wrote about Texas Roast, I ordered some Ethiopian Harrar from them. Damn fine coffee and damn fine customer service!
Just ordered mine. Rewarding positive action with commerce. Is there anything capitalism can't do?
Contra Cafe' is a uniquely smooth and full-bodied coffee grown by former Nicaraguan Contras. In 80's these freedom fighters defeated a communist dictatorship with US assistance.

Fed Ex just dropped off our delivery of "Texas Roast - Six Shooter" 10 minutes ago! - (Pre ground because I get up way too early to focus on the pot let alone the grinder!) Looking forward to tomorrow's coffee... let see... I think I am going to try the Cowgirl Roast first! Yee - ha!
We've been enjoying some of their Texas Sunrise for a few days now.
