Tim Peters forwarded me a story written a couple weeks ago by Spanish writer Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez. I tried Googling for the original source, but couldn't find it. Secondary sources claim it was originally published in a Spanish newspaper, but none provided a link.

With some reservations, I'm posting the translation in full. If it turns out this is a fake, let's steal a page from the MSM and call it "fake but accurate."

Here it is.

All European Life Died In Auschwitz

I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.

We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims.

In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The contribution of this people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world. These are the people we burned.

And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naïve hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition.

We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for hoping for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs.

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

Comments

The writing isn't as rococo as Senor Rodrigez's prose, perhaps because it wasn't originally written in a foreign language, but this great 2003 piece by James Bennett comes to much the same conclusion about Europe's ultimate fate.

Whew. Almost as blunt as Orianna Fallaci.

I found a Spanish version of the text, but without attribution - posted to a forum which requires registration... :-/

No way of telling, of course, whether it's an ex post facto translation, or the original.

RE: Indeed

A powerful statement.

It doesn't matter if it was written by Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez or not.

It DOES matter that it has been said.

And therein lies a correlating statement of my understanding of the two sides in this matter. One of Life the other of Death. And in between are those who don't care to take 'sides' in this war. They would rather it just went away and let them live out their respective lives, passing into what they perceive as 'oblivion'.

But, whereas one side, that of Life is willing to let them go their own way; albeit reluctantly. The other side is a bit more insistant that all observe it's way.

If it were a military thing, it would be called an 'indicator'.

Chuck(le)

Find this kind of histrionics annoying and distracting. Europe's mistake is it's fake tolerance of Islamofacist culture in the name of multi-culti. Europe's mistake is its inane social system that prevents people from working and allows them to exist (barely) on welfare. But it does no one any good to say Jews were all that is good and Arabs all that is bad. And besides, Spain cleansed itself of its Jewish population much before Auschwitz lit it's first oven.

Aw, c'mon, those peaceful happy muslim children just wanna some fly their kites in Madrid and Paris...

Posted by: richard mcenroe at December 1, 2005 08:42 AM

Like has been alluded to, it doesn't really matter WHO wrote it. It is truth none the less.

Posted by: Draco at December 1, 2005 09:03 AM

Fake but accurate- sounds like CBS News.

Posted by: kreiz at December 1, 2005 09:15 AM

20 million Muslims = "those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs."

Accurate, huh?

Posted by: LNS at December 1, 2005 09:23 AM

I grieve for the Jews of Europe who were made to suffer and die at places like Auschwitz, Treblinka and Babi Yar. I am ready to grieve for the Muslims of Europe in advance of the day when the morally and intellectually advanced people of Europe revert to type and decide to exterminate the lot.

Which is exactly what I expect them.

The European penchant for such things as witch burnings, inquisitions and Zyklon B is, I'm afraid, ultimately irrepressible. Yet another reason I thank God daily that my family got out of Europe in 1942.

I searched via Lexis/Nexis in Spanish language newspapers and got no hits.

Posted by: BeckyJ at December 1, 2005 10:42 AM

The holocaust was the worst crime in the history of the world. I am terribly sorry that it happened.

Even so:

And under the pretence of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime.

...

What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

Whever wrote this, Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez, or somebody else, is a defeatist of the worst sort, down on his knees and weeping inconsolably, and also not all tjat bright, painting all European Muslims with the same brush.

P.S. It ain't happened yet. And I doubt if it ever will happen.

Chuck,

there haven`t been huge anti-terror protests anywhere yet.
And whoever wrote the piece is a disgusting sniveller. :)

Let me rephrase that, there haven`t be more than a few. Slopy phrasing, sorry.

Very telling except for one thing:
Spanish connection to Holocaust = nil

I find it difficult to believe any Spaniard would feel any guilt at all regarding the Holocaust.

OK, it works if you consider "Europe" as an entity. But it's not; it's just geography. There's no European polity or single historical identity.
(That's why the EU will never be a viable unitary state.)

Snivels, maybe. Does it make the point, Oh, Yes! EUrope as a whole looked the other way or shut their doors during the holocaust. Spain is not innocent in this. Neither is Britain or the US, for that matter.

But, the fundamental truth of this article is still there. The Muslims may be okay folks for the most part, but they have refused inclusion into the host societies in EUrope. They want sharia to rule in their enclaves/ghettos.

So, what is the solution? I favor inclusion or exclusion - integrate or leave. Makes no difference to me.

And where are the 'mainstream' Muslims to protest the criminal minority? Anyone heard from them? Yup, thought not.
