Maybe there will be some blogging tonight, but maybe not. Two things are in the way.
I'm still working on The Monster. That in and of itself shouldn't be an obstacle. Except that the deeper I get into it, the more I find I have to do actual (I hate using naughty language) research. Also, there's at least one editor expressing interest in buying the thing, so I have to make it good.
Sigh - all this effort from a guy who usually spells "writing" with a G, L, I, and B.
The other thing is I just downloaded the new Fiona Apple album off of iTunes. I don't know if you like Fiona or not, but she goes mighty fine with a gin martini.
1. What's your brand of gin?
2. Fiona doesn't do much for me.
3. I just put up a rare (for me) 1500-word "think piece" on my 10 Big Things, i.e., the 10 key strategic political issues. It's here if you're interested.
I pre-ordered the new Fiona Apple album and received an email the day it was available on iTunes, so I've been listening to it for a couple of days.
I think I liked the "raw" version that was circulating around for the past 6 or 8 months a bit better, but it's still good listening.
A martini? Most of my dates will do pretty much anything for a bottle of Boone's Farm Apple...

I have Fiona Apple's album on my iBook, but it is Ramadan here in the Middle East so good luck finding gin...
Fiona Apple is great. I haven't yet had a chance to download her new album (after 6 years... about time!)
"I hate using naughty language"
Yeah, right.
"she goes mighty fine with a gin martini."
Finally off that milk diet, eh laddie? ;)

fiona's definately not a wine or beer kind of croner. i personally prefer her with bourbon, but the sentiment is there...
