Harry Forbes thinks the RNC has forgotten who their customers are.
Interesting how her last name is mispelled [Meirs] in Ried's strangely included quote. Did Reid mispronounce it?
Yep. Now tell me how many writers at NRO live in Red States? It is not clear to me that the Republican base is what the Republican "base" thinks it is.
Miers is an unknown, that is the main problem. Why aren't folks looking at her corporate practice? It is not as if she hasn't done a lot of work, Indeed, I suspect that she has much more experience than Thomas, O'Conner, Roberts, or Ginsburg ever had in the nuts and bolts corporate law.
Have you read the constitution? Was it that hard to understand? Strikes me that what we want is a straightforward interpretation, not a clever one. In any case, the Supreme Court is primarily an appeals court for federal law, not a constitutional interpretation court. I think Miers may actually be more qualified for many cases than anyone currently on the court.
So, I am going to wait and see how she handles herself in front of the committee before passing judgement.
"Customers" as in "We bought it, we own it"?
