Dick Morris thinks Hillary Clinton might face a real fight for reelection next year: While Hillary would have no problem dispatching an opponent like Nixon son-in-law Edward Cox or Yonkers Mayor John Spencer (the two other possible GOP contenders), Pirro presents a real problem. Of course, Morris has a long track record of being exactly wrong where Hillary is concerned. Comments
"pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-affirmative action, pro-gay-civil unions and pro-immigration" And GOP? Huh? I have a feeling that Jeanine Pirro will have a tougher battle in the primaries than in the main election. Posted by: Nick at August 9, 2005 11:54 AMLast year, Dick was saying that Bill and Hillary had devised a scheme that would get Kerry off the Democratic ticket and replace him with her. Never happened, of course, but it got him lots of face time on Fox News. Given Morris's relationship with the Clinton's over the years, he is hardly the best person to look to for wisdom when it comes to either Bill or Hillary. Posted by: Doug at August 9, 2005 11:55 AMMorris is still shilling for Hill. He gives up little juicy nothings to keep the animals happy while making sure the bad stuff gets swept under the rug. If Hilary doesnt win in New York, will she run for presidency in '08? Posted by: Rick at August 9, 2005 12:40 PMRick, Hillary will win in New York and she will run in 08. Posted by: Doug at August 9, 2005 01:18 PMSenator Clinton will win re-election easily. Note to Dick Morris: wrong again. And everything Dick Morris says certainly comes to pass. Really, this is perhaps the sleaziest of the sleazy. This guy is a parrot for whoever happens to be signing his paycheck. Also, it is always funny to see staunch conservatives cheering for someone who is "pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-affirmative action, pro-gay-civil unions and pro-immigration. And, of course, she's a woman...". The "anti-terror" thing? Hillary has gone along with Bush on everything he wanted to do in the GWOT or SAME or whatever they are calling it today. Way to stand by your beliefs. In the end it's all about which team you are on, not what you believe, is it not? Posted by: Pug at August 9, 2005 02:57 PMSteven: When it comes to prognostication, you could shorten your last sentence to "Of course, Morris has a long track record of being exactly wrong." No need to limit it to Hillary. kevino: You're roughly right, except Pataki won't be governor when it all comes down. Elliot Spitzer will and he'll appoint a Democrat to replace Senator Hillary. His plane crash, a few days after he let slip he was considering running for the Senate seat she wound up winning, after his untimely death, is an 'interesting coincidence'. RE: Pirro "...Pirro presents a real problem." -- Dick Morris, cited by Stephen Green Hopefully she doesn't fly very much. Regards, Chuck(le) [I believe in coincidence. We have these kinds of "____'s" in my state and the result is that the best organization with the most money and most workers on the ground gets its candidate elected. If you do not give the people a bright banner to follow then you are not distinguishable from your opponent. Posted by: nk at August 9, 2005 08:51 PMMay I amend my remarks? As a life long resident of the Empire state, who has seen the decline of conservative values, I must say that Pirro's views on gun control, abortion, etc are conservative. Several newspapers and MSM types look longingly at the UK's view of self defense and would like to prosecute anyone who does so. I can hold my nose and tolerate everything, even her stance on abortion, but not her support for affirmative action. AA causes far more damage than all the other leftwing causes Pirro claims to support put together. Luckily I don't have to choose since I haven't lived in New York for forty years.
