Whitehall & Trafalgar Edition

Wow!
I suspect that while you were away from the blog, you were spending some quality time with the Nikon (and some post processing experimentation?)
Absolutely awesome pics.
Hope you’re having fun.
I think we should send you away more often. You are posting more than you have in the last month.

Lemme tell ya something — those shiny guys don't think they're ceremonial troops.
Back in the 80's I was in London and I was down at the Horse Guards barracks where they're stationed. One of those troopers was on sentry duty. I went for a photo of him and stepped around a pillar in the courtyard to get a better angle. When I looked through the viewfinder, all I saw was this shiny metal diamond — which is pretty much what one of those swords looks like when it's pointed right in your face. I was wrong, he was right... and pretty damn quick for a guy in a breastplate and thighboots...
Stephen,
First pic looks like you were either on the London Bridge or close. I hope you had some time to cross over and check out the London Dungeon and some sweet eateries down the London Bridge street. Cheers!
Is it just me, or does the guy on the horse look Philippino?
Stephen,
Nice photos, as usual. Get one (or several) at a pub...
Pic. #1:
"Kids, there's Big Ben and Parliament."
I love London. Great pics.
The guy on the horse is portuguese.
