VodkaPundit was featured on CNN again tonight. Trey Jackson has the video.
This "blogging" thing, it'll never catch on.
Up next on Chicken Noodle News, another 20 minute segment illustrating exactly "why we suck".
D'oh! That sound we just heard was somebody at CNN getting a virtual head smack after Frank's comment. Man, dat's cold!
I like it!
Awesome. Good on ya!
Out of curiosity, what kind of traffic spike did you get from that mention?
Hard to believe Vodkapundit readers watch CNN.
Robert, I never looked at yesterdays numbers, but based on past experience, "CNN spikes" are in the noise. Instapundit spikes are a couple of orders of magnitude higher.
I think I got like 4 hits as a result of my site being mentioned earlier in the week.
Still, it is cool to get mentioned on an international news net, although I wonder who watches Inside Politics, given the time it airs.
Congrats to VP for making it on the tube.
Just watched the video.. WTF? They just sit there and read the blogs aloud on the air? Man that is sad.
The worst part is I bet some producer thought she was being really clever to think that up. "Put some of those young whippersnappers on the air, and have them talk about these 'bogs' and that breaker-dancing and whatever the kids are into these days".
I wonder if in the early days of television, some desperate radio stations had programs where an announcer just described what he was watching on TV?
Tom,
I fully agree. CNN doesn't have the ability to feed the blogs directly on air, or are they just trying convey some misplaced sense of edginess? The whole thing smacks of blogs being presented as an amatuerish curiosity right down to the two people presenting. The woman was ok, but the guy could barely string to words together. Why not have the bloggers on to talk about what they're writing? I'm willing to bet any one of us could do a better job at presenting our thoughts.
