At some point it's bragging...
I'm just saying...
Nice, very nice photograph. Were these birds on the grounds of the hotel? I have heard that they are very noisy and bad-tempered.
So we're back to wildlife photography, now? (Sigh)
I really liked the other "wild life" photography.
(Seriously: Thanks for the pictures. You obviously had a great vacation. It looks like paradise.)
In some ways I'm an environmentalist: Who would believe such an odd creature really exists without seeing one?
Save the cool animals!
P.S. Are peacocks "natural" or the result of a breeding program?
Natural. Just like macaws, tucans and frigate birds. Pretty cool stuff, if you can find it.
Jeff at Protien Wisdom should post a 'conversation with my peacock.' It'd write itself.
Peacock: I'll show you mine.
Vacationer:
Peacock: I'll show you mine.
etc.
Caption: This pathway is CLOSED.
heh.
We have seven (at last count) "free-range" peacocks and peahens in my neighborhood in the hills of SoCal. They are silly, vain, noisy, gorgeous, and vastly entertaining (except when I have to get out and chase a strutting peacock off my driveway so that I can get to work!). They also eat snakes, bless 'em!
I would SWEAR that bird is at one of the beautiful hotels around the Chichen Itza archaeological site.
Where IS this from Stephen?
