...mainly because it has redefined the lazy term "conservative" to mean someone who is impatient with the status quo....
The revenge of the tail-end boomers on their elder Bs.
We're going to dismantle their EEEWWWtopia for something that will actually make things better.
Having Hitch give comment on Maureen Dowd is like reading John Coltrane's critique of the third chair saxophonist in the 6th grade band at Lincoln Elementary in Peoria, IL.

I met Paul Wolfowitz once.
I was (am) editor-in-chief of JED, an electronic warfare magazine, and Dr. Wolfowitz was addresing the Association of Old Crows (the electronic warfare society) annual convention. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned, and there he was. I had just read Jim Mann's "Rise of the Vulcans," so I was a little awestruck (sorry).
He deflected my later question about the wisdom of acquiring Stryker infantry fighting vehicles (I prefer larger, more heavily armored vehicles, even at the expense of speed).
But he gives the impression of a thoughtful individual, whatever you might think of him.
