With this spin then, and the means of measurement we can safely pronounce the Balkans a disaster?
Hmmm, when the dems hold the presidency?
Then all will be right w/the world?
It has been going on for 60 years. The "Peace in Our Time" party has been on the wrong side of history since Korea. They and the MSM have been spinnig the facts for decades. Since Talk radio appeared 27 years ago we have a place to get the real "news"; which has been augmented with the net.
A whole country will rally, diametrically changing direction as a 'delaying tactic'?
If that's true, these Bush guys are good...very good. Had me fooled.
Two citations come to mind. First is from Keynes, who said, "In times of turbulence, it is too easy a matter to counsel calm because in the long run, all waves subside. In the long run, we are all dead."
And there was Mao T'se-tung, asked to assess the significance of the French Revolution (1789): "It's too early to tell."
So... this ten-year, wait-and-see stuff is nothing but a cop-out. Like saying that "true Socialism" has not failed, because it's never been tried. When 2015 rolls around, does anyone think these spinsters will even admit to what they've said? As Tallyrand said of the Duc D'Enghien's assassination: "It was worse than a crime. It was a mistake."
As Mark Steyn has pointed out, that comment just shows that Keynes had no children.
The too-early-to-tell spin is politically counterproductive. As Bill Clinton could tell you, the Democrats' best hope is to convince people that the hour of peril has passed and it's safe to elect a Dem again.
