Medienkritik is organizing a pro-Bush rally in the German city of Mainz Wednesday night. I'm curious to see what the turnout is like -- not to mention the inevitable counterprotest.
Via EU Referendum, more intrigue:
I expect a bit of sympathy for Schroeder today…his party lost its stronghold in Schleswig-Holstein and was beaten by the CDU…….now Heide Simonis (SPD) is trying to get the Danish People's Party to keep them in power……..funny to have to depend on Danes living in a part of Denmark annexed by Germany in 1864 to keep the governing party in office.
The writing is on the wall…..with the EU investigation into Joschka Fischer over the Schengen Visas sprayed at Ukrainian underworld figures - Germany issued 33% all Schengen Visas…….despite protests from Spanish and Portuguese Ambassadors in Kiev that criminals were entering Europe…………….now the EU wants to see why Fischer took a soft line on issuing visas (shades of Romanian Tony Blair)…………………
Fischer may fall…………..the State Elections in NRW in May will certainly cost the SPD/Green Coalition and they could lose their second British-created power base (Lower Saxony is already CDU)…………………….
All GWB has to do is to smile and offer limp handshakes…………Chirac and Schroeder are at the end
I predict that the MSM will report Medienkritik's rally as an anti-Bush event...if it makes it on the air at all.
I met a couple of skinheads last fall who were ardent Bush supporters. One can only assume there are like-minded ones auf Deutchland.
He needs a refresher course in his language. He made a plural noun a plural twice. The media ( plural of medium) will give little coverage of this ralley. Unlesss there is violence, in which case big coverage. If W is close I would expect violence, otherwise it will be both peaceful and not mentioned.
