Will Collier, call your agent.
Bengt
I thought YOU were Will's agent.
Ed
As Bill said to Ted, "Whoa."
Quoth yonder BBC guy: "Some see the bloggers as an explosion of free speech, a democratic counterbalance to media arrogance and a much needed call for greater transparency in the media, while others see bloggers as vigilante partisans bent on discrediting and destroying the media."
It's been a while since I was in school, but back in the day we were taught that this is whatcha call a "false dichotomy." In other words, "Don't tell us we can't be both."
You can't be serious, Jeff- I mean, really- intellectual sloppiness at the Beeb?
You haven't been paying much attention to them, have you? ;-)
Will:
When you get across the pond, send Steve back some vodka; send me some Boddington's Stout.
CNN should be afraid of this whole thing for two reasons:
1. All of their competition is paying way more attention to this then they are. Not merely the Jordon affair, but the fact that there are so many other media outlets that are giving so many bloggers so much time on this issue in general. Not to say that Martini-boy and Will, the sooth-sayer, are small potato(e)s, but if this is in print, imagine the whisperings behind it. For a moment, let it go to your head that somewhere, in a spacious, corner office, there is a MSM suit asking an underling "So, what is Green and Collier on now?". Powerful stuff, huh? But, you have to think that it very well could be happening.
Plus, there is point #2:
Will lives in CNN's backyard. And bullies always cry when they can't rule the neighborhood.
Will, the only thing that could kill this is if, in counter-part to Stephen's "Spandau Ballet" looks, is if in reality your looks are more toward the Flock of Seagulls. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you, literally, somewhere down the line, on some news outlet. Because someone, somewhere, I would bet, is considering it.
I really don't fit in the 80's band looks scheme (although when I really let my hair grow, I could pass for one of the guys on the back cover of the first Boston album).
Maybe Michael Anthony with a shave and a haircut...
Incidentally, CNN seems to be quite taken with VP; one of Steve's posts got a mention on Friday.
I'm glad CNN has noticed!! You guys are worth noticing!! I gave up CNN for Lent...as a way of "bettering" myself.
PS Which of the guys on the back of the first Boston album? I have to go dig out my "vinyl" record for the comparison. I'm in design, but I can't put the Michael Anthony with a shave and haircut together in my mind....
I knew you before you were famous. And you can grow some serious big hair if not kept in check. Congrats...even Ed is impressed!
