Candidate for DNC chair Tim Roemer writes:
National security concerns were the primary cause for Kerry's defeat. Democrats failed to convince voters that our vision for American security was better than Bush's failed policies. The world is different after Sept. 11, 2001, and if we Democrats cannot make Americans feel safe, we will not win future elections.
Roemer gets it. Dean doesn't -- and yet he's a shoe-in for the job.
Well, at least they can't claim I didn't warn them.
He is right Security has been issue #1 the last two elections. But that will change, when, who knows. The fact that the DNC will be headed be the MD shows that they think it is already history. 06 will give us a clue.
