A view of the Red Sox-Yankees pennant race - from Iraq.
So, if the Yanks and Cards lose, it'll be Houston versus Bosox, or Texas versus Massachusetts.
Heh.
as for me, an ex-pat Houstonian, I say: "Go 'Stros!"

PLEASE don't play with our minds like that!!! Immediately, I began working out the timing: Game 7 of the ALCS is tonight. The NLCS will be decided in another day or so. The World Series could conceivably start next Monday or Tuesday, which could CONCEIVABLY put a deciding game of "potentially" Texas vs Massachusetts on either Election Day Eve OR Election Day. Salvador Dali once had a concept short film regected by Disney for "Fantasia" that used baseball as a metaphor for life. I wonder if knew had any idea.....
Oh my goodness, Becky - wouldn't THAT be something? LOL. The drama of it all :)
I got the script form FOX - Sox win tonight - Stro's in 7 over Cards -
Clemens beats Boston in 7th game of WS for most soul crushing Sox defeat in history.
Becky:
Well, I have friends who are Redskins fans who now are rooting against them, and vice versa.
So, it's only fair for those who love the Red Sox, too, to have to make a decision or two, perhaps, on whom to root for.
Heh heh heh....
Jack:
Woo Hoo! I'll go for that scenario!
Dumb q: is it still a pennant race? I thought that term was for winning your division in the regular season?
Or, since the Yanks & Sox both got in the playoffs coming from the same div, does that change things?

You notice the first part worked out last night.
Jack:
Yes, I noticed. I'm slightly panicking. So help me, if this plays out as "imagined", I am applying for Ms. Cleo's former job. Or, locking myself in a cave until the dust settles. I am not sure that I want to WATCH this particular metaphor come into being. I just want to know how Dali knew???
The World Series schedule is:
Sat. 23 Oct. - StL @ Bos
Sun. 24 Oct. - StL @ Bos
Tue. 26 Oct. - Bos @ StL
Wed. 27 Oct. - Bos @ StL
Thu. 28 Oct. * - Bos @ StL
Sat. 30 Oct. * - StL @ Bos
Sun. 31 Oct. * - StL @ Bos
* if necessary
So barring any postponements for rain/snow/hurricanes, the WS should be over before the election.
