The speech is over, which means I can take a break. I'll have final thoughts in just a little bit.
We'll be back, right after this important alcoholic beverage.
EIGHT MORE YEARS. EIGHT MORE YEARS. EIGHT MORE YEARS.
Stephen - I'm still two ahead . ;)
I purposely avoided watching or listening . . . I just 'refreshed' every 2 minutes.
And had a couple of cold ones.
Thanks for the live blog...sorry about the refresh ;)
Cheers
what it comes down to is the republicans will win the election because they know how to drop balloons
Dear Sir,
I am writing to enquire for any possible openings in your firm. I have been in an executive position with a large political party for 4 troubled years in this era of difficult times and have recently been let go.
Yours,
Terry McCauliffe
Stephen - excellent job. Now you're two for two.
See you in four years ...
As a democrat, I can speak true. Slam dunk.
Now we'll see how the Kerry campaign reacts.
Stephen,
Great job liveblogging!
Much appreciated.
Thanks!! Always fun as usual to follow your commentary. I was listening to the speech on the radio, and then following a few minutes later to see what you thought. Yeah, there are a few things I disagree with him about, but when I listen to W, I feel pride. When I listen to Kerry, I cringe. I can't think of one issue I disagree with Bush on that Kerry would be better about. I'm giving our country enough credit to see through Kerry. Hope I'm right. Even in NorCal the number of Bush/Cheney bumper stickers seem to be increasing...
"Now we'll see how the Kerry campaign reacts."
Uh, I predict with dirty, personal attacks.
The politics of fear and smear, backed up by 527s bankrolled with $200 million.
Race baiting, class and race warfare.
It won't be pretty.
Thanks much, great job.
Amazing speech, and I'm seldom caught up in such things.
"Now we'll see how the Kerry campaign reacts."
Probably with his new parrot he keeps on his shoulder, that squawks, "Crawwkk! Served in Vietnam! Crawwk! (whistles)"
Vodkapundit: The hardest drinking blog in the business.
Thanks for the liveblog!
Sorry, Frank. The astonishing fact that McAwful agreed to an interview with Hugh Hewitt without having an answer ready for a question about Cambodia means that he should be in a simpler line of work. Maybe he could get a job selling casting rods and asking "Do you want flies with that?"
Im watching kerrys response. Im afraid Kondracke was too nice in his assessment that it would look small and petty.
It looks damn pathetic. Someone in Kerrys campaign should pay for this. Keeping the elderly up past midnight is always a mistake.
When he said " he didnt hear the speech because he was flying somewhere" I laughed so hard I think I wet myself.
Hes now back to the old " get the target off our soldiers backs" line.
I have one word to describe the Kerry campaign :
"Quagmire"
He's soaking it in right now.
This is one desperate old man, and he looks it.
