Drudge's teaser shows a picture of John and Teresa over the headline, "Separate Hotel Rooms After Shouting Match."
I don't know what that's all about, or even if it's true. But I can tell you this much -- Jeff Goldstein is gonna have a blast with this one, soon as he sees it.
When momma aint happy, aint nobody happy.
A) You dont suppose she was surprised by the "christmas in cambodia" story?
b) You think it was a surprise when Kommander Kerry annouced yesterday that he would also have gone into Iraq even without the WMD's?
c) you dont suppose they got internal polls that dont reflect what momma wants to see?
Go look at rich galens reporting on attendance at Bush campaign stops vs. Kerrys since Kerry has been in the same towns as Bush as of late. Check out that story of Edwards getting heckled in Missouri and hiding behind his kids.
When you live in a cultural bubble of wealth and priveledge that you've never had to compete , you begin to think everyone loves you. Then you get out into the country and find that being a wheel in massachusets doesnt mean a whole lot. Mrs. Kerry doesnt yet understand that shes not senator and without her dead husbands cash, most people wouldnt return her calls.
Frank: Apropos your last point, wealthy couples also commonly live lives in separate orbits. For these folks, being trapped together on a bus fourteen hours a day for days on end can result in mutual revulsion.
Eh, big deal. And I mean that. What a shock--Theresa Heinz Ketchup is a spoiled, arrogant, rich wifey who's unused to being disagreed with. So what? She's not running for president, and even if Kerry won, she wouldn't be, say, put in charge of installing socialized medicine.
It's a giggle story, but it doesn't mean squat in the big picture.
Frank has a good point above. Bush drew 10,000 people in Pensacola and 15,000 in Panama City yesterday.
Folks, I lived in Panama City for four years. 15,000 is a GIGANTIC number, about half the entire local population.
PC isn't even the most Republican part of the Panhandle, they still had a Democratic congressman when I lived there (1997-2001).
Bush's support is a lot stronger than it's being given credit for, I think...
I wonder what nuanced dynamics THERESA HEINZ-kerry might display at late afternoon Tango lessons?
