Verdict, please. We're dithering, stalled by a few bad reviews.

"The Cooler" is excellent. Baldwin's best role since "Glengarry Glenn Ross".

Bill Macy was, as always, plays the loser pitch perfect.

When Maria Bello first propositions his character he scratches his head. That's right, he scratched his head.

Alec Baldwin reminded me why I originally became a fan of his way back when. Although it's not fair to say it's his best performance since Glenngary Glenn Ross, without at least a quick mention of The Edge.

And Maria Bello is just wonderful. Also check her out with Ben Stiller (back when he still made movies for adult human beings) in Permanent Midnight.

I did not like that movie. We saw it in a theater. If we had watched it on a DVD. I would have removed the DVD from the Drive and seen if could make it go over the power line in back.
