But still interesting. Except that al-Qaeda has not been into numerology and special dates earlier, probably to remain unpredictable.

More to the point, the date "9-11" in the places where these bastards come from corresponds to November 9.
I think it more likely this and the March 11 date are coincidences.
Evan is right, though anything that makes Europeans think of Madrid and 9/11 in the same breath is to be encouraged.
9/11 is November 9th, as Evan says, not only where these bastards come from, but also all over Europe. The Madrid blast happened on 11/3 there.
