The issue is: who shall decide? And: do the judges rule or do the people rule? The President is simply putting the power back where the constitution finds it -- in the people.

Andrew Sullivan "jumped the shark" yesterday. I always suspected he was a gay activist shrouded in right-wing clothing. Now I know for sure. This isn't about civil rights like the 1960's and Jim Crow. If this issue is the determing factor on if someone votes for Bush or not, then so be it. The cost of gay marriage today is higher taxes, less protection against terrorism, and more socialism. No thanks.
