David Brooks on the many Howard Deans.
Best thing yet on Dean. Brooks is very solid. I'm looking forward to his election year columns.
The same things were said about Clinton, that he would say anything to anyone at anytime and you'd believe him because he was so sincere. Christ save me from people like Howard Dean who mean to do good or do something, their fake anger, I am angry too, we were attacked on 9/11 - what would you do Mr. Dean? Courts? Police Work? Are we at war Mr. Dean or did America deserve it? I think that this man is dangerous.
Ug.. I just saw him on the Today show (again) this morning. I swear he mentioned "healthcare for all americans" in the same breath as "i am the only candidate who can balance a budget" no less than five times. *puke* You can take your socialized mecidine and shove it where the sun don't shine, Mr. Dean.
It was an excellent article indeed, but I've been wandering around trying to find if anyone is offended David Brooks called Howard Dean "Satan". The Mysterious Stranger in Mark Twain's story is a boy who spoke elusive words, and changed personas, drawing a group of children in while causing pain in the community. Twain didn't mince words and called this new boy Satan. Brooks obviously is alluding to this, and the implications of the story, so I am curious about not finding this comment (pro or con) anywhere.
