Am I the only person on earth who liked Hank Rearden better than John Galt?
John Galt was a scientist. Hank Rearden built things.
Or Frisco, I should add, since "Dagny" is advertising for a aristocratic copper miner, not a steel magnate who built a business with his own hands and developed a whole new metal.
No, you aren't the only person on earth who liked Hank Rearden better than John Galt.
Not just for Objectivists but also for the wider circle of admirers of Ayn Rand? That reminds me of a blurb for a book by the late Ilya Prigogine, a famous physicist. The blurb said that the book was aimed at the general reader with a background in thermodynamics and physical chemistry. I'm sure both of them enjoyed the book.
Hank was coolbut I could never get over why he married that vacuous wife of his inthefirst place. PLus-I'm against cheating -- just get a bloody divorce...
