Last night I tried and failed to get my comedic hooks into the Harry Belafonte story.
Scrappleface succeeded.
If there is a valid "houseboy" analogy, Belafonte should have applied it to Ashcroft, not Powell. I’d say Ashcroft may be hoping for a move to the massuh’s house someday. In fact, I bet if Bush asked, Ashcroft would jump down, turn around and pick a fight with anyone. Quite the contrary, Powell seems to be willing to disagree with Bush on Iraq at times and may be the last hope for cautious reason in this overly bomb-happy administration.
I wonder that anyone ever took Bellafonte seriously. I mean, the man sings a crazy song about having a composer of Baroque music add up his banana harvest. And the American public makes it a hit!
"Hey Mr. Telemann, tally me banana"????
It's just plain crazy!
