I woke up this morning in the Central West End of St. Louis, after two or three hours of sleep.
Packed the car, jumped on I-70, and headed west.
13 hours later, I am now at home in Colorado Springs.
That's about 850 miles. On the three hours of sleep.
I'm taking my cat and going to bed.
Tomorrow looks to be lots of fun.
PS I'm really gonna try to catch up on all the email. Really.
Dude, did you forget to bring Melissa back?
It's a good thing that you're back, as it appears that Sarge has quit.
Sleep is a design flaw that must be overcome for the good of Blogtopia!
Myria
And you didn't even stop by and say hello...
Dude! Welcome back! We missed you!
Well, I did, at any rate. Can't speak for the other folks.
About friggin' time.
And have you ever heard of a plane?
Seriously, welcome back. We missed you.
That's nothin'. I drove from Augusta, Maine to Seattle in four days. That's an average of about 900 miles a day.
Good to have you back. When the bell sounds, come out fightin'...
Welcome back! Hope your vacation was fun while it lasted...
For some reason I read "central west end of st louis" as "east st louis", and was amazed you were still alive. ;-)
Glad you're back safe and sound, Stephen. Now get to work. And now you know just what it's like to be in an only semi-successful rock and roll band. Only you would have driven those 850 miles hung over. And you would've had to do a show at the end of it. And then the club management or promoter would stiff you on the money.
'Bout damn time -- now get cracking on posting many witty takes on the day's events!
Welcome back, you've been missed.
i was wondering the same thing, stacy. sounds like the parents decided to keep her.
It's good to have you back.
