We're Off
Posted by Stephen Green · 9 April 2002
Melissa and I are off to St. Louis for a week so she might get to know my family a little better before the wedding. We'll be back sooner if she decides to call it off. Brooke dared me to reveal my Amazon wish list -- so here it is. Along with my About Me page. To further keep yourself uselessly occupied while I'm gone, feel free to add your own irrational beliefs in the Drinks area in "Things I Know But Cannot Prove." I'll check in on email and post as I'm able. NOTE: While I'm gone, here's what some of my favorite other bloggers can do to take up the slack. Sarge -- be nastier. Comments
Realx? Whaddaya mean, relax? Why should I relax? Everything is fine, I'm happy, I can quit blogging whenever I want, why should I relax??? Huh? Huh? Posted by: Pejman Yousefzadeh at April 9, 2002 01:05 AMHave a good trip.... Posted by: Sgt. Schultz at April 9, 2002 01:22 AMPejman, see Lisa Simpson on pep pills: Bart: You've been all edgy and suspicious ever since I gave you those Pep Pills. Lisa: Whatareyoutalkingabout-I don't need pep pills to be suspicious-If I wanna comment on it, I'll comment on it-Who's gonna stop me? You, Pep Pill Boy?-Pep boys-pills-Beverly Sills-Ohboyahboy-Uh oh-uh oh...Uh oh. I gotta stop taking those pills. Posted by: Ben at April 9, 2002 01:45 AMI will endeavour to be a more prolific blogger, as requested, but increases in quantity run the risk of decreases in quality, so...yeah. Have a fun "vacation"! Posted by: Asparagirl at April 9, 2002 08:51 AMSteve, say it ain't so...Bernstein's version of the immortal Ninth??? Please allow me to recommend the rendition by Gardiner and the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique...an 'authentic' reading at its best, and it'll revolutionize your idea of what the Ninth should be. Posted by: Steve at April 9, 2002 08:54 AMWell, while you're gone, I'll endeavor to include more naked drunkenness (or is that drunken nakedness) on my site until you can pick up the slack again. Best wishes! "Name any movie better than the book." the princess bride. the grapes of wrath. i'm pretty sure that's all. Posted by: redsugar at April 9, 2002 01:22 PMHave fun, though I wouldn't have made the mistake of getting married if I were you. hush. you'll scare him. *shhh* Posted by: redsugar at April 9, 2002 05:58 PMJust when I'm getting addicted, you leave. Enjoy the trip. Posted by: ArcherWeps at April 9, 2002 06:16 PMWhoa! Is that "About Me" link FUBAR, or is it my computer? (I won't even contemplate the idea that I actually know you). Posted by: John "Akatsukami" Braue at April 9, 2002 09:40 PMOh man. I wake up to this news. It's going to be a long day . . . Posted by: Kyle Still at April 10, 2002 08:01 AMWell, she hasn't come screaming back. Yet. Posted by: Carey Gage at April 11, 2002 09:55 AMAkatsukami-san: That 'about me' link is FUBAR ... or we are using the same browser, which that link doesn't like. Carey: I doubt she'll come screaming back -- no matter what we all may wish for our reading pleasure. What could be scarier than dealing with the VP himself? The Shakes This is wrong. There's no reason -- beyond perverted sadism -- that VP would leave us hanging like this. Come on, can't he find an internet cafe, or post from a friend's house...? Hey -- isn't this supposed to be the "always on" internet, everybody wired, all the time? It's 2002, fercryinoutloud! (sniff)...Come back, VodkaPundit. Posted by: davidmsc at April 11, 2002 08:26 PMDear VP: This absence has gone on long enough. Dump the babe and return to bloggery! Posted by: don at April 13, 2002 06:46 AMMaybe VP's family decided to keep the babe and dump VP. I remember what my dear old mum said to me when I got married - "Son, you're damn lucky she puts up with you. If you ever split up, we're keeping her." Posted by: Annoying Old Guy at April 15, 2002 07:37 AMYeah, I remember having a woman dump me saying "You know, I wish I could date your family instead of you." Maybe VP got lost finding his way home. :) Posted by: getaclue at April 15, 2002 02:36 PMMovies better than the book: The Right Stuff Posted by: Tassled Loafered Leech at April 15, 2002 03:41 PMAll right, VP. That's enough of a break Get off the babysitter and come out with your wits up. Posted by: Will Collier at April 15, 2002 06:29 PM |
